The Great Bamboozle of Bone Health.

Let's talk about imagery and insurance, shall we?  🧐

Check this out: A sidebar ad for info on when to expect bone loss. The picture is of a women likely in her 50s or older.

Click on "When Do Bones Begin to Thin?" and it takes you to a quiz. And here's the fourth question and answer.

The answer tells us that bone loss is greater than bone growth starting at 35. THIRTY FIVE. If they *really* cared about preventive measures ensuring bone health for women, wouldn't they start talking to women earlier and/or using imagery of a women in her 30s?

What no one emphasizes is that bone health is not something to start worrying about when you're in your 60s. It's something to be concerned about a lot earlier. Research shows that bone density changes the most in a woman's 40s. But most insurance policies won't cover a bone density test until a woman is 60. 😡 So, once again, we have to take matters in our own hands.

We talk bones, osteoporosis, osteopenia, bone quality & bone quantity as well as muscle mass in this FB Live. Def check it out. Lots of good nuggets. 🦴 🦴 💪 💪
